INTRODUCTION TO THE PUBLIC HEARING PROCESS
Referring to the

Chairman Kiker presented the order of the proceedings for the Final Millage
and County Budget Hearing.

CONSTITUTIONAL OFFICERS OR COURT-RELATED ORGANIZATIONS
The Chairman called for comments by the Constitutional Officers or Court-related organizations; and the
following citizen came forward.
Assistant County Manager/Acting Budget Director Pete Winton read into the record the FY14-15 Millages (per
thousand taxable value), rolled-back rates, and proposed millage increases over the rolled-back rates, as
follows:

FINAL MILLAGES AND BUDGETS FOR SPECIAL TAXING UNITS

At this time, the Chairman called for public comment and the following citizens came forward:

Commissioner Manning moved to adopt the FY2014-15 Final Millage for the Special Taxing Units with the
amendment as outlined in County Manager Roger Desjarlais’ Memo of September 11, 2014, seconded by
Commissioner Pendergrass, called and carried.
Commissioner Manning then moved to approve the FY2014-15 Final Budget for the Special Taxing Units,
seconded by Commissioner Hamman, called and carried.

FINAL COUNTYWIDE MILLAGES AND BUDGETS
4.1506 mills per thousand of taxable value into the record and indicated it was a 5.54% increase from the rolled-
back rate of 3.9326 mills per thousand of taxable value.
Commissioner Manning moved to adopt the FY2014-15 Final Countywide Millages, seconded by
Commissioner Hamman, called and carried.
Commissioner Manning moved to adopt the FY20 14-15 Final Countywide Budget, seconded by Commissioner
Pendergrass, called and carried.
RESOLUTION NO.14-09-30
FINAL LIBRARY MILLAGE AND BUDGETS
Assistant County Manager/Acting Budget Director Pete Winton read the proposed Lee County Library Millage
of 0.5956 mills per thousand of taxable value compared to the rolled-back rate of 0.5635 mills of taxable value
into the record and indicated it was a 5.70% increase from the rolled-back rate.
Commissioner Manning moved to adopt the FY2014-15 Final Library Millage, seconded by Commissioner
Pendergrass, called and carried.
Commissioner Pendergrass moved to adopt the FY2014-15 Final Library Budget, seconded by Commissioner
Manning, called and carried.

FINAL UNINCORPORATED AREA MSTU
Assistant County Manager/Acting Budget Director Pete Winton read the proposed Lee County Unincorporated
Area MSTU millage of 0.8398 mills per thousand taxable value, compared to the rolled-back rate of 0.7982
mills per thousand of taxable value into the record and indicated it was a 5.21% increase from the rolled-back
rate.
Commissioner Hamman moved to adopt the FY2014-15 Final Budget for Unincorporated Area MSTU Millage,
seconded by Commissioner Pendergrass, called and carried.
Commissioner Manning moved to adopt the FY2014-15 Final Budget for Unincorporated Area MSTU,
seconded by Commissioner Hamman, called and carried.

FINAL ALL HAZARDS PROTECTION DISTRICT
Assistant County Manager/Acting Budget Director Pete Winton read into the record the proposed Lee County
All Hazards Protection District Millage of 0.0693 mills per thousand taxable value compared to the rolled-back
rate of 0.0656 mills per thousand of taxable value into the record and indicated it was a 5.64% increase from the
rolled-back rate.
Commissioner Manning moved to adopt the FY2014-15 Final Millage for All Hazards Protection District,
seconded by Commissioner Pendergrass, called and carried.
Commissioner Manning moved to adopt the FY2014-15 Final Budget for All Hazards Protection District,
seconded by Commissioner Hamman, called and carried.

Assistant County Manager/Acting Budget Director Pete Winton read the Hearing Compliance portion from the
Script and stated that the proposed FY2014-15 Total shown in the “Budgets Summary Reports” (Copy on file),
which outlines each fund and made an integral part of the Budget Resolution, was proposed for adoption as the
.
Commissioner Mann moved to adopt the FY2014-15 Final Total Budget, seconded by Commissioner Manning,
called and carried.

The Board members commended all those involved in the FY2014-15 Budget preparation.
The Chairman adjourned the meeting at 5:39 p.m.
