4. BUDGETING, PURCHASES, CONTRACTS AND AGREEMENTS
(a)
Authority
to secure a tax exempt qualified bank loan in the form of a line of credit
not to exceed
$10,000,000.00, for the purpose of funding various capital projects at Page Field. The Airports Special
Management Committee and Staff recommend approval.
Finance Department Director Benjamin Siegel reviewed the request for the Board. Commissioner Judah moved the
item, seconded by Commissioner Janes. After noting that Commissioner Janes and he had the opportunity to take the
tour at Page Field, Commissioner Judah remarked that staff is meeting the aviation needs at Page Field; mentioned
that the extent of the improvements such as the T-hangars are overwhelming; and commented on the land that is
available for future improvements. The motion was called and carried with Commissioner Coy absent.
